Advocating for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services in Annapolis

Our team experienced a powerful and important day for Chimes as we traveled to Annapolis to meet with members of the Maryland Legislature. Together with our leadership, staff, and individuals we support, we spoke out against the proposed cuts to Developmental Disabilities services in Maryland’s budget.

Our team shared personal stories and insights to help legislators understand the real and frightening impact these cuts could have on the lives of Maryland’s most vulnerable citizens.

We are deeply grateful to the legislators and their staff who took the time to meet with us. With continued collaboration, we are hopeful and confident that a path forward can be found to preserve these essential supports and services.
