Who We Are
The Chimes School Eastern Shore is bringing its proven 11-month educational model to Maryland's Eastern Shore to serve students ages 5 to 10 across the 9-county region. Our program infuses functionality into everyday academics and work-related skills, with a core priority on social skills development. Using a multi-sensory approach to learning, we challenge our students to develop increased independence while in school, at home, and in the community.
Expected to open in 2027, this new campus will serve students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and Autism. By establishing a local presence in the region, we are dedicated to reducing travel barriers for Eastern Shore families and ensuring every student can learn and grow to their fullest potential closer to home.

Our planned campus is designed to be fully accessible, with specialized features including:
State-of-the-art classrooms with interactive technology (Chromebooks, iPads, and Smartboards).
Dedicated multi-sensory rooms to support behavioral and sensory needs.
A vocational and workforce hub developed in partnership with local organizations.
Outdoor adaptive learning environments designed for therapeutic play and engagement.
