It is no surprise to anyone at Chimes DC that Connie Holmes-Summers is a much beloved Project Manager. Connie works at the Federal Bureau of Prisons and is responsible for a crew of 21 employees who clean the whole building (327,660 square feet comprised of 10 floors, in addition to a basement and a penthouse). She is not only conscientious in performing her job duties but she relates to her staff with compassion, understanding, and thoughtfulness. She is also the first one to step up and share stories and pictures about her site and her employees.
Every summer Connie organizes mini vacations with her crew. Some of the places they have visited were three trips to New York, two trips to the Baltimore and the Washington Harbors, two trips to the MLK Memorial twice, and every 4th of July Connie hosts a cookout bash at her house.
Connie celebrated her 75th Birthday on November 30th and was surprised with a party in her honor that was attended by her staff and many tenants in the building. Both staff and tenants stood up and said a few words about how caring and helpful she was and what a beautiful person she is to have around.
She is a gem of an individual displaying professionalism, dedication, kindness and boundless energy. We thank her for her years of service and hope to have her with us for many more to come.
